DSC01766We offer spacious, clean rooms set around a chilled porch area with giant sofas, with our new kitchen for guests with a new garden of a campesino Rancho seating-eating-drinking area! And all just one block from the cathedral, the central park and the supermarket!

Selected as the ‘First Choice Pick’ by Lonely Planet 2013, the Luna International Hostel is a non-profit social enterprise.

You want to make a difference to your life and a Nicaraguan’s life? You Do…when you stay with us, all our net profits go to fund our programs and to local initiatives led by local community.

THIS is the place to be! Go explore the stunning nearby Somoto Canyon, Miraflor and Tisey Nature Reserves through TreeHuggers tourism office, offering non-profit tours in town and out in the mountains every day of the week!

Also cigar tours and mural-historical tours.

Our chilled out hostel is located in the heart of Esteli directly opposite our Cafe Luz and TreeHuggers tourism office.

All the profits from our three social enterprises support local projects around Esteli and the north, through our  non-profit programs, “Luz Verde”  which funds and runs the Library Bus with hundreds of children every week, organic kitchen gardens, micro-finance projects, environmental education and environmental campaigns in the region, supporting senior citizen home, many other donations and collaborations and of course all the community-led eco tourism programs, working directly with Nicaraguan women, children and families. Thanks for your support!

“With spotless rooms, hot showers and a groovy courtyard common area, this is the grooviest joint in Esteli.” Lonely Planet.
